Sometimes when life is tough, it is wise to take a step back and evaluate what you have and what you are truly grateful for.
After a few days of feeling slightly on edge, I have readjusted my thoughts and I am currently taking stock of what is good in my life right now. I am blessed to have a wonderful and loving husband whom I have shared half a life time of experiences with, a strong and well connected family and faith that is helping me through a time in my life that is a bit stressful. Whilst I have a little niggle in the back of my mind and a few creases that need ironing out, so to speak, I am most grateful for the life my husband and I have found ourselves in.
I am truly blessed to have met so many wonderful and inspiring people. I was recently left a message that I found really thought provoking:
"A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor"
Whilst tough times test us, they also prepare us for life, they build and strengthen our characters. An image of a sunset seems like a fitting metaphor for the situation I find myself in at the moment, I am full aware that after the sun has set on the day it will rise on the next and once again my world will be bright.
I will leave you here with these images and will be back shortly when my creative energy returns.
