New Colour Crush

Oh Baby...

I am currently loving the colour 'baby blue' at the moment, actually, I have a soft spot for all kinds of blue. I have just bought some yarn for a new blanket inspired by the colour pallet of the morning sky. I loved the mix of blue hues, white, grey and mocha.

I was really pleased to restock my yarn basket after almost finishing off my Granny Square Blanket {you can catch a tiny glimpse of it in the picture below}. There is something really satisfying about restocking yarn don't you think?
My colour palette:
3x400g Hayfield Bonus Aran With Wool - Stone
1x400g Hayfield Aran With Wool - Blue Slate
1x400g Hayfield Bonus Aran With Wool - Grey Blue
1x400g James Brett Aran With Wool - Brown
1x400g James Brett Aran With Wool - China Pink
I chose this brand and type of yarn purely from a cost point of view and also Aran wool is fairly chunky which means the blanket will super cozy when it's finished.I am following the springtime throw pattern form the book Cute and Easy Crochet by Nikki Trench It is turning out to be a really a simple and enjoyable project, a time consuming project non-the-less, but I am enjoying watching my little pile of individual squares grow.

Enough of my ramblings on, I'm off to work on my blanket.

Catch up soon
Laura  :)
